Roy Kersey and Will Smith started the idea for the Faceters’ Frolic in 2007 and the first Frolic was held in Franklin NC during the Summer 2008 Gem Show.
2-Day Franklin N. C. Faceters’ Frolic
This will be our 5th year for the Faceters' Frolic during the Annual Summer Shows in Franklin NC. This year it will be a two-day event on Friday July 27th & Saturday 28th of 2012. It will be held at the Fun Factory, which is the same location as FFF3. Robert Strickland will offer two GemCad classes on Friday and a larger number of quality dealers will start offering items for sale at 1PM on Friday. Dealers will be available all day on Saturday. We have scheduled some great programs, demos and prizes, so start making your plans now.
GemCad Classes & Faceters' Meet & Pretty Stone Contest – Friday
This year FFF5 will offer two GemCad Classes offered by the creator of GemCad, Robert Strickland. Starting at 9AM, Robert will offer a Beginner Class, which will go until Noon. At 1 PM he will start another GemCad Class for Intermediate/Advanced level students. This will be your chance to learn from the Master. At 6 we will have our first Faceters' Meet and Pretty Stone Contest where we will relax and enjoy Pizza together.
Dealers Open - Friday & Saturday
This year we have a large number of quality dealers and they will be available to work with you on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. You'll have the chance to see some great rough, supplies and equipment.
Programs, Demo's & Prizes – Saturday
Diane Eames GG, will share her knowledge on Topaz, Robert Strickland will show off his "NEW" GemRay design optimizer, and Dr. Howard Bromley, USFG Editor, will share information on Competitive Faceting.
